Last weekend, I got my Reiki two certificate with my friend Amy. The class was from 10am-6pm - this would normally be way too long for me to sit still for anything but given the fact that I was genuinely interested in learning about Reiki it went by super fast. Amy was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the gift of Reiki with others.
Its said that Reiki was discovered by Master Usui - when he ventured up to the mountain top to commit suicide, he came in contact with the healing powers & symbols of Reiki. He came down from the mountain and started teaching people how to harness and use this power. Of course, Usui channeled the divine energy of God & was teaching people how to use it on their own. He wasn't claiming that he invented this force at all.
One of the first questions people ask when hearing of Reiki is "What does it do" I believe a lot of people may feel a stigma because they get the impression that somebody may be trying to prove something, make pretend, or simply be crazy. Its actually proven by science that Reiki omits a pulsating bio magnetic field from the practitioners hands with frequency 0.3 - 30 Hz. Bio-magnetic frequency between 0.3-7Hz is shown to heal bone and tissue. There are medical machines that calibrate at this frequency to heal patients. Interestingly enough, Reiki is illegal to practice in China, Japan, Russia, Saudi Arabia and possibly even more.
The setting of the training was very intimate, it was only me and one other girl. The meditations Amy took us through were very powerful & unlocked a lot of wisdom within me. The meditations allowed me to melt away into the oneness of all that is. Ultimately, this is the energy of Reiki - the pure loving oneness that always is. By tapping into even 1% of this power, we're shown so much. Our daily practice can be integrating this love into the world, even if that means simply becoming aware of it.
During my meditations, I connected a lot with nature. I feel a lot of divine connection by being with the stillness of nature. I took myself back to a couple of remote islands where its just been me and the water. In these spaces I can hear the loving stillness of God. A serene sense of peace and calmness. I went back to a particular beach that I had been on in Maui. Napoli Bay- while sitting in and soaking up the gorgeous Hawaiian sun, I saw from the distance a Humpback Whale that was breaching and crashing down on the ocean- he/she must have done this 10 times. I looked around at the other people on the beach, but it seemed I was the only one who was witnessing this phenomena.
It was great to learn Reiki symbols and learn how to send distance Reiki to people whom we're not physically close to. We can always send Reiki out, if the other person does not want to receive it, it will not be received. I also got a purple fluorite necklace at the end which I infused with the affirmation "I am unique and I love myself" These healing affirmations are so strong.
I am beyond grateful I got to experience the Reiki II training. I am going to start offering these practices out to the world and keep learning more about this amazing healing technique.
inspirational thank you for sharing☺️
